Job role

In the Actuarial Analyst role, you will work as a member of the Actuarial Support Center working part of the actuarial team within Allianz Partners.

The Actuarial Support Center has the largest team of actuaries on the Romanian market with young, motivated and passionate professionals that turn the unpredictable into the predictable. The Actuarial Support Center has proved its financial expertise in the Allianz world by:

  • Analyzing, optimizing and creating financial models that form the basis of insurance products
  • Providing thorough analysis of complex data
  • Performing data analytics for Allianz Group top players

Responsibilities

In this position, you will have a significant role in the Actuarial Support Services team, being involved in activities such as:

  • Monthly/Quarterly production to determine Loss Reserves, Mathematical Reserves and Claims & Premium Provision incl. Future Cash Flows, Risk Margins and how they develop over valuation periods
  • Contribution to risk capital quantification under Solvency II standard model
  • Development and Enhancements of related IT systems, analytical tools and reporting engines
  • Model validation and key control assessment with audit track
  • Actuarial Function Report and other Regulatory Reports including QRTs

All of this is in the context of Allianz Partners health & life portfolio.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Actuarial Sciences or related subjects
  • MS Office, including Outlook, Word, Access and PowerPoint skills
  • Advanced level in Excel
  • Fluent in English
  • Programing skills; in particular VBA, SQL, ResQ or SAS are a considered a plus

Job role

The Process Improvement Specialist acts as transformation advisor and main point of contact between different customers, stakeholders and the responsible party in order to support the envisioned changes within Allianz Group processes. Job role

In this role, you will work as a member of the Pricing? team within Global Portfolio Management at Allianz Global Corporate & Specialty (AGCS).

AGCS is the Allianz center for corporate and specialist risk, servicing clients worldwide across the whole spectrum of marine, aviation, corporate and industrial insurance.

The Pricing team is responsible for technical price development and its implementation as well as pricing analytics across AGCS globally. The team is spread across London, Munich, Chicago and Bucharest (via Allianz Technology).

  • Provide regular reporting and analysis from the AGCS Pricing Tool data to assist management with the active steering of the portfolio, particularly monitoring of risk adjusted rate changes;
  • Develop ad-hoc reports in close collaboration with the relevant business units and other stakeholders, as the need arises;
  • Support the team in developing and maintaining pricing tools;
  • Establish an excellent working relationship with Underwriting to ensure their long-term support for the pricing tools;

  • Support the RM team in performing quarterly calculations and controls of Capital Requirement both in the Internal Model framework and EIOPA Standard Formula for LH and PC business
  • Calculate various risks submodules: Life Non Market Risks, Business Risks, Market Risks using the Replicating Portfolios approach, Premium & Reserve Risk, Catastrophe Risk, Operational Risk
  • Carry out the analysis of closing results and the assessment of liquidity position, while supporting the production of Closing Reports
  • Aggregate the risks and perform the analysis at Subgroup level, together with producing dedicated presentations for risk committees
  • To assist in the development and implementation of process automation tools
  • To provide timely, efficient and professional service delivery? to clients
  • To build and maintain strong relationships externally with clients and internally with colleagues

In the Actuarial Analyst role, you will work as a member of the Actuarial Support Center team within Allianz. The Actuarial Support Center has the largest team of actuaries on the Romanian market with more than 70 young, motivated and passionate professionals that turn the unpredictable into predictable. The Actuarial Service Center offers international opportunities for talented people and tailored solutions for Allianz, in a digital environment. Main projects cover analyzing, optimizing and creating financial models that form the basis of insurance products and providing thorough analyses of complex data.

Responsibilities

In this position, you will have a significant role in Actuarial Support Center modelling team, being involved in activities such as:

  • Risk and profitability assessment for life and health portfolios;
  • Value of New Business, Market Consistent Embedded Value , Market Value Balance Sheet , Return on Risk Capital valuations;
  • Balance sheet and Solvency Risk Capital internal formula model change impact studies; (Assets and liabilities interactions model)
  • Requirements around Solvency II pillar I, IFRS 4, IFRS17 ;
  • Actuarial processes optimizations and transformation solutions development;
  • Data management and analytics,? including experience investigations, reconciliation, validation;
  • Reporting an interpretation of analyzed data
  • Actuarial model development, validations, maintenance, documentation and testing
  • Standard actuarial analysis and reporting tasks assigned by the actuarial departments
  • Successfully collaborating with multiple departments within Allianz operating entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Economics, Databases, Statistics or Actuarial Sciences;
  • Previous insurance-related or financial analysis relevant work experience;
  • Willing to work in an international environment;

In the Claims Business Analyst role, you will be a key member of the Claims team and will work in close collaboration with the Actuarial team, as part of the Actuarial Service Center within Allianz Technology Bucharest Branch. You will provide analytical and reporting support as instructed by AGCS Claims Portfolio Intelligence and Coordination and Claims Performance Monitoring teams. Regular and ad-hoc analysis of claims portfolio & report creation:

  • Analysis of data and portfolio trends (development over time, outliers etc.);
  • Design, develop, automate and improve reports based on data in AGCS Claims systems and other sources;
  • Manage regular report deliveries to stakeholders (data reconciliation, analysis, presentation and commenting);
  • Data plausibility checks, quality assurance & improvement;
  • Working with regional and global claims subject matter experts to explain movements and resolve errors;
  • Utilizing verbal and critical thinking skills to gather information and data; making sound decisions based on a mixture of analysis and judgement;
  • Communicating and working within a geographically distributed team environment and with various levels of leadership throughout the department and the organization.

The Property & Casualty/ Life & Health Actuarial Auditor acts as accepted advisor to the business with in depth experience auditing in the field of actuarial topics (reserving and technical provision in line with statutory and regulatory requirements, property/casualty and/or life/health operating profit management reporting, assumption setting and standards, product development, pricing oversight, profitability testing and P/C and/or L/H business performance validation, MCEV and related actuarial support for insurance risk capital and contribution to the effective implementation of the risk management system, opinion on underwriting policy and adequacy of reinsurance arrangements etc.).

Responsibilities

Audit Practice

  • Take responsibility for the performance of the audit engagements in areas of assigned responsibility;
  • Plan and execute audit projects with actuarial topics, define risk-based audit areas, audit business transactions, workflows, processes and control systems;
  • Determine deficiencies and vulnerabilities to be remedied, analyze audit results, formulate proposals for solution and support or lead closing meetings;
  • Maintain the audit system, ensure proper documentation and responsibility for audit report writing;
  • Comply with the audit policies and the respective standards (independence, integrity, confidentiality, truth and fairness, security, economy, system conformity).

Quality Management

  • Verify if the audit's suggested measures were accomplished (follow up) and support the implementation of the audit recommendations;
  • Support the update of audit methods, initiate improvements of workflows, processes, security and control systems and promote best practice sharing;

Relationship Management

Requirements

  • Strong academic background (master/university diploma or degree in mathematics, statistics or similar, and actuarial exam recognized actuarial certification);

  • Strong, demonstrated professional track record, preferably in an insurance or consulting company;
  • At least 2 years P&C and/or L&H actuarial experience (reserving and technical provision in line with statutory and regulatory requirements, property/casualty and/or life/health operating profit management reporting, assumption setting and standards, product development, pricing oversight, profitability testing and P/C and/or L&H business performance validation, MCEV and related actuarial support for insurance risk capital and contribution to the effective implementation of the risk management system, opinion on underwriting policy and adequacy of reinsurance arrangements etc.);
  • 1-3 years of professional experience in internal/external audit or as consultant or equivalent will be an advantage;
