Due to the continuing success of AEGON in the countries of Central and Eastern Europe, we now have the following position available at AEGON Romania headquarters in Cluj-Napoca:

TITLE: UNDERWRITING MANAGER

Responsibilities:
1. Establishes the best underwriting practices and then oversees the execution of those practices to assure the quality of the risk selection;
2. Assure that underwriting practices are appropriate for the plan features and pricing assumptions;
3. Monitor the industry results to assure the continuing adequacy of the underwriting practices;
4. Hires, trains and coordinates the underwriters in the UW department;
5. Oversees the quality of work performed by underwriters within the department;
6. Evaluates productivity and efficiency and distributes workload;
7. Coordinate with claims to detect any gaps in the actual versus expected claims and recommend improvements;
8. Organize, resolve problems and accomplish corporate goals within prescribed time frames;
9. Complete reports, audit responses, research projects and other tasks as assigned.

Requirements:
1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in life insurance underwriting, with increasing levels of responsibility.
2. Experience in managing diverse teams.
3. Ability to prioritize underwriting functions to create maximum client satisfaction.
4. Demonstrated history of proficiency with different automated underwriting systems.
5. A demonstrated track record of achievements.
6. Must be able to motivate team members to work together on systems issues in the most effective manner.
7. Must be able to easily communicate complex concepts to both internal and external clients.
8. Must be able to critically analyze and solve problems in a timely manner.
9. Must be creative and able to work with minimum supervision
10. Proficient in English.
11. Must have excellent Computer, Customer Service and Organizational Skills.

TITLE: PRODUCT MANAGER

Responsibilities:
1. Product planning and execution throughout the product lifecycle, including:
  • Working with sales and third parties to gather, analyze, and prioritize customer and product requirements;
  • Work closely with actuarial and marketing departments to ensure needs of both insurer and clients are met;
  • Provides detailed follow-up to monitor performance of products and client satisfaction.
2. Ability to track market trends and quickly respond to changes in the competition;
3. Be able to develop core positioning and message/image for new products;
4. Work closely with marketing to develop and prepare marketing support materials for varied sales distribution channels.
5. Work closely with training to develop and prepare training materials for the sales channels;
6. Knowledge and deep understanding of the back office and IT processing.

Requirements:
1. University degree;
2. Minimum of 2 years experience as a Product Manager in life insurance industry;
3. Demonstrated success defining and launching excellent products (traditional life insurance products, unit linked, pure risk, and health products, both individual and group policies);
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, developed presentations skills;
5. Excellent teamwork abilities;
6. Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority;
7. Fluency in English;
8. Good knowledge of MsOffice and MsProject.
